Rein in Web surfers

Bored or restless workers often kill time online. While you can ban personal use of the Web, that’ll breed resentment. It’s better to warn workers that their company-owned PC is for business use, and that clicking on inappropriate sites can trigger harassment suits or compromise corporate security. You also can install filtering programs that block access to certain sites and let you track employees’ Web use. Examples: Cyber Patrol (800-828-2608) and SmartFilter (800-379-4944).
