Win – On the bottom row of your keyboard there is likely a key with a Windows symbol on it. That’s the key referred to as “Win.” Just tapping the Win key gets you to the start menu, where you can begin typing the name of the program or file you want to open. This works on Windows 8, too!
Win+D – To show/hide your desktop, type Win+D. In some jobs, it’s necessary to quickly be able to hide screens when someone who may not be authorized to see the information steps in view of your monitor. Pressing it twice gets you back where you started.
Win+Tab – The Win+Tab shortcut brings up the Task View, which contains larger than normal thumbnail-sized displays of your open programs. Click on the window you’d like to access.
