Quit multitasking. Focusing on one task at a time allows for higher quality, which means increased productivity from successfully completing that task in a single pass, rather than continuously revisiting it.

Get rid of possible interruptions. Turn off the TV, set the phone on airplane mode and sit in a work-conducive area to eliminate potential distractions. The best way to stay productive is to focus on the task at hand, and that means an environment without distractions or disruptions.

Think about your home life. Staying productive means recognizing that work isn’t the only thing that affects you. You need a balance between work tasks and home life, including time with family and friends, exercise, relaxation, etc. Downtime is important to be recharged and focused when you start on your work.

Schedule email time. If you stop working to review and reply to email every time you receive a message, you will mess up your workflow and reduce your productivity. Instead, set a schedule where you check your emails two or three times a day. This will help you stay focused on your tasks and will reduce the stress of having to constantly screen messages and potentially reply.

Don’t forget to delegate. If you have numerous tasks on your plate and you can’t do them all yourself, delegate some of them to someone else. Use your fellow employees around you to help you stay on track and get the tasks done efficiently.
