In 2016, IRS rules will allow employees with self-only coverage under high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) to continue contributing up to $3,350 to health savings accounts (HSAs). The minimum annual deductible for an HDHP remains $1,300. Maximum out-of-pocket expenses increase $100, to $6,550.

Employees with family coverage under HDHPs can contribute up to $6,750 to HSAs (now $6,650). The minimum annual deductible for an HDHP remains $2,600; maximum out-of-pocket expenses increase $200, to $13,100.
