Social media is used to promote brands, sell products and create communities through consistent communication and engagement of your audience. For many businesses, both small and large, consistent communication can be a challenge to do on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and all the other social channels.

Many programs can automate your social posts. There is one new player that automates the posting in a unique way. Let me introduce you to Meet Edgar.

Meet Edgar lets users automate and plan their social media posts across multiple channels and allows the user to plan ongoing posts from a set library.  

Meet Edgar is set up to allow the user to have categories and then upload their content per category. Then here’s where the genius comes in: It allows the user to schedule the categories on a weekly basis.

You set up a few categories, such as motivational posts, business news and promotions, upload 20, 30, or 40 pieces of content per category and decide when you want your followers to see each piece of content.

For example, you might want a motivational post on Monday at 9:15 a.m., and Meet Edgar will randomly choose a post from that category. You can do this for each channel (Facebook, Twitter, Linked­­In).  This makes posting easier and provides consistent content posting.

Since it is a newer program, and still developing, it does not yet connect to Google Plus, Pinterest or LinkedIn Groups.
