Do you find networking a challenge? Perhaps your calendar can help, writes Dave Delaney in The Tennessean. Every time you meet with someone, log it on your calendar. After your meeting, send the person you met a follow-up email by the next day. That note can be a simple thank you for the meeting, or you may share a thought you have had about the topics of conversation.
Periodically check your calendar and review the emails you’ve sent. It will remind you of the meetings you’ve had, who’s been responsive and helpful to you, and who you haven’t seen lately.
