The Bureau of Labor Statistics regularly projects the growth rate for occupations in coming years. These are the 10 jobs with the fastest anticipated growth rates between now and 2022.

For reference, note that the average growth for all occupations is a little over 11%.

1.  Industrial-organizational psychologists—Projected growth: 53% or 900 new jobs. Median annual salary: $80,330.
2.  Personal care aides—Projected growth: 49% or 580,800 new jobs. Median annual salary: $20,100.
3.  Home health aides—Projected growth: 48% or 424,200 new jobs.  Median annual salary: $21,020.
4.  Mechanical insulation workers—Projected growth: 47% or 13,500 new jobs. Median annual salary: $40,500.
5.  Interpreters and translators—Projected growth: 46% or 29,300 new jobs. Median annual salary: $42,420
6.  Diagnostic medical sonographers—Projected growth: 46% or 27,000 new jobs. Median annual salary: $66,410
7.  Masons’ helpers—Projected growth: 43% or 10,500 jobs. Median annual salary: $28,260.
8.  Occupational therapy assistants—Projected growth: 43% or 12,900 new jobs. Median annual salary: $55,270.
9.  Genetic counselors—Projected growth: 41% or 900 new jobs. Median annual salary: $63,590.
10.  Physical therapist assistants—Projected growth: 41% or 49,400 new jobs. Median annual salary: $53,360.
