Encourage your team to think boldly about changes by asking them to imagine that your organization’s products, services, systems and processes have just been destroyed. You can’t rebuild them.
The team’s task: To replace what was destroyed with new products, services, systems and processes. Don’t try to rebuild the old; challenge them to start from scratch. As you rebuild, ask about each item:
- What was its purpose?
- Is it worth preserving?
- What can we replace it with?
- How can we improve it?
