Research conducted by web marketing company HubSpot indicates that the best time to send marketing emails is early morning. The ubiquity of smartphones means that many potential customers start their day by grabbing their phones off their nightstands or bureaus too check for email they received overnight.

Mike Volpe, HubSpot’s chief marketing officer, notes that the company’s analytics show that the highest click-through rate for the day occurs between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Test the theory: Time your email delivery to coincide with the period of time before your potential customer’s day really begins and his or her attention is drawn elsewhere.
