During times when your team is excelling, it can be easy to skip praising employees. After all, it should seem obvious to employees that they are doing well because you are hitting your goals and exceeding everyone’s expectations.
Don’t make that mistake. Instead, ensure that employees know just how much you appreciate their hard work and achievements. Find time to offer each employee specific feedback on his or her performance.
In addition, create plenty of opportunities for the team to celebrate its accomplishments, whether that is through planned parties or impromptu powwows where you congratulate everyone. That will motivate the team to continue to perform at a high level.
