Gmail’s newest feature gives you the opportunity to quickly unsubscribe to all those unwanted spam emails, giving you the opportunity to clean out your overloaded inbox.
According to Google, “when a sender includes an ‘Unsubscribe’ link in Promotions, Social or Forums message, Gmail will surface it to the top, right next to the sender address.” Click it and say goodbye to spam.
This eliminates the need to scroll to the bottom of the page to find the buried unsubscribe button and then, in some cases, go through a two-step process to complete the unsubscribe.
The feature only works if the email includes an unsubscribe link.
“For email senders, their mail is less likely to be marked as spam and for you, you can say goodbye to sifting through an entire message for that one pesky link,” Google says.
