A new study by Leadership IQ reveals that most people spend only half of the time they should be spending with their boss each week—only three of the six optimal hours.
People who spend the optimal six hours per week interacting with their boss fare better than those who spend only one hour per week and are:
29% more inspired
30% more engaged
16% more innovative
15% more intrinsically motivated
How you spend that time interacting matters, too. Those who interact with their boss six hours per week spend 48% of their time communicating face-to-face versus 27% interacting via email.
By contrast, among people who only spend one hour per week interacting with their boss, 33% spend that time in face-to-face interaction and 42% is spent via email.
