The standing-while-working trend continues to grow, including the explosion in treadmill desks. A new University of Southern California study says brain processing speed increases from 5% to 20% when people are standing compared to sitting. And work meetings run, on average, 34% shorter when participants stand during the meeting.
Think it looks silly? You’d be in the company of Thomas Jefferson and Earnest Hemingway, both of whom stood while working.
