The newer versions of Microsoft Office offer some great tools to use on picture graphics. Here are three tools that apply in varying levels to versions 2007-2013 and include these applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and to some degree, Publisher.
Removing backgrounds (Office 2010-2013)
With Office 2010 came the Remove Background button. It takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you can work magic on your photo images.
When you click the button, you’ll notice a rectangle overlay with drag handles. Areas to be removed are shown in magenta. Drag the handles to get as close to your desired end result as possible. Use the additional Background Removal tools from the new tab on the left.
