One of your roles as a team leader is that of project manager. Create "charter champions." Every project you undertake should have a charter—the written document stating the goals you're trying to achieve, the end products you'll deliver, the customers you're serving, the timeframe and resources available, and the criteria and method you'll use to gauge your success. You use the charter to devise your action plan, outlining the steps you'll take to meet your end goals.
