Fewer than 10% of executive leaders are pleased with how they spend their time.
The rest fall down in four ways:
- Crisis managers spend 67% more time on unanticipated flare-ups compared with the most efficient leaders.
- Schmoozers spend 17% more time with customers at the expense of communicating with their colleagues.
- Digital addicts spend 36% more time online and on the phone instead of face to face.
- Cheerleaders spend 45% more time on pep talks with their people while, by comparison, 39% less time with customers.
