Save trees when you print
Environmentally minded managers think before they print. They may scan a website to eliminate banner ads or other fluff before printing a hard copy.
If you're in a rush, you might skip this step. That's no longer a problem because GreenPrint software automatically eliminates pages you don't want. That saves paper and cartridge ink.
For now, GreenPrint comes in a free version and a "premium" offering. See printgreener.com for information on how to download and use the software.
New, plentiful software options available for iPhones
Earlier this year, Apple began allowing software developers to design applications for its iPhone 3G. And that triggered an avalanche of options for consumers.
Over the past few months, Apple's online "App Store" has offered nearly 1,000 applications. While some are free, most cost around $10 to download. Popular programs so far include card games and reference guides.
Even though you can browse all the compatible software via Apple's website, don't assume the products meet high standards of quality or technical support. According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, Apple reviews each application but does not vouch for the quality of the software programs that it offers in its App Store.
