For all the money your company might invest into marketing a positive brand image, what your employees have to say about it is key to its success. TNS Employee Insights’ research reveals that only about half of employees would recommend their company. All employees are potential marketers, so here’s how to turn disengaged employees into brand ambassadors: 

Know where you stand 

Marketers use a metric called a net promoter score to gauge brand perception and word-of-mouth potential. To understand the collective net promoter score among your team, release a survey with one simple question: “How likely is it that you’d refer our company to someone?” Have them rate their potential referral on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being “I’d definitely recommend.” Employees who respond with a 9 or 10 are already loyal ambassadors.
