Invest in your professional development with these tips from Miriam Salpeter, founder of Keppie Careers.
1. Learn online. Online classes provide you with endless opportunities for learning on your own time. Before choosing a specific program, determine whether it’s respected in your professional community and is run by reputable organization.
2. Apply what you learn. The purpose of acquiring knowledge is to apply it to real-world situations.
Make sure what you’re learning provides you with real-life understanding and practical knowledge you can apply to your career.
3. Build a community. Continuing your education not only opens you up to new information, but also opens you up to new interactions. Take time to network with the professionals in your program.
