Some employers are turning to technology companies such as Retrofit to help employees shed pounds and kick unhealthy habits, Lora Kolodny writes in The Wall Street Journal.
- Real-time tech. Retrofit uses web, mobile and wearable technology, making it an easy addition to an employee’s life. Its software works with almost any wearable fitness tracker or wireless scale.
- Real results. In a one-year period, 92% of Retrofit users lost weight, and their average weight loss was 19.2 pounds.
- Real business benefits. Obesity and poor health directly affect productivity, so employers have good reason to help their people lose weight and improve their health.
