That’s the fear or anxiety that sweeps over you when you have no smartphone contact. It happens when you lose your phone (or leave it at home), run out of battery juice or your signal bars are flat.

Did you ever run back into the house to get your phone because you forgot to take it with you on a 20-minute run to the local store? If so, you have nomophobia, an abbreviation for “no-mobile-phone phobia.”

According to a survey by SecurEnvoy, 70% of women have phone-separation anxiety, as opposed to 61% of men.
