With so many distractions available via social media sites and other online pursuits, maintaining your focus at work is becoming increasingly difficult. Luckily, there are applications to help you regain that focus.
- StayFocusd. For Chrome users, StayFocusd allows you to select the sites that distract you the most and enter how much time you should be allowed on them per day. Once the allotted time has been used, you’re blocked.
- LazyMeter. Allows you to carry a virtual to-do list around anywhere. You can cross off tasks and it offers a graphic interface that helps you track your progress on the path to completing a goal.
- Wunderlist. This lets you track your tasks, but it also lets you divide them by areas of your life.
- LeechBlock. A feature of Firefox, it’s similar to StayFocusd. It helps you target sites that have you wasting potentially productive time and lets you designate how much time you can spend on them.
