Say you’ve created this great interactive tool in Excel. The problem is it still looks too much like a spreadsheet. There are a few things you can do to make it look less grid-like.
To get rid of the row and column numbers, click File>Options>Advanced and uncheck Show row and column headers under Display options for this work sheet. To get an all-white background, use the Fill (paint bucket) tool to change the fill on visible cells to white or, from File>Options>Advanced, uncheck Show gridlines. You can also disable scroll bars in Display options for this workbook from this same menu.
