Take time to listen

For leaders, there’s nothing more important than listening.

According to Business News Daily, a survey of employees showed they didn’t think their bosses were listening. About a third of those surveyed said their bosses never, or only sometimes, listen to their work-related concerns. And more than half said their supervisors didn’t involve them in making decisions.

Leadership blogger Doug Dickerson advises us to listen with our ears so we can be informed, but to listen with our heart if we want to connect.
