Administrative Professionals on LinkedIn Provide Their Favorite Online Resources
Falls Church, Va. — Administrative professionals are vital to the success of many organizations. They serve as the main point of contact by answering phones, delivering correspondence and maintaining records of documents, in addition to numerous other responsibilities. Admins must be excellent multitaskers with strong project management skills to succeed.
Business Management Daily asked its admin readers in discussions on several LinkedIn groups to list their favorite resources that help them with their careers. Here are 10 of the most popular go-to resources recommended by administrative professionals on LinkedIn:
These websites provide articles, training handouts, videos and information on events and conferences. They offer a number of free resources in addition to paid information and training.
In addition to listing their favorite websites, many administrative professionals responded to the LinkedIn discussions by thanking their fellow admins for providing the online resources.
“Excellent list!” says Susan Engelbrecht, executive assistant to the CEO of Discovery Health and member of the Admin Pros LinkedIn group. “I've looked at most of them and found them extremely helpful. Lots of tips and tricks, even motivational at times.”
“Wonderful resources and ideas! Ladies thank you for sharing,” says R.D. Bertsch, department assistant at Farmers Insurance AgencyPoint and member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals LinkedIn group. “… I look forward to your entire list. One can never have enough resources.”
“I love … IAAP chapter information and some recorded webinars,” explains Veronica Cross, clerk II at Shelton State Community College and member of the Personal Assistant and Office Manager LinkedIn group. “Also IAAP website, All Things Admin and of course Joan Burge’s Office Dynamics website. Before I found these websites I was embarrassed of my job, but because of websites and blogs I see the importance of my job.”
www.BusinessManagementDaily.com also provides several resources to help administrative professionals gain important skills and excel in their careers, including free special reports, articles and e-letter subscriptions.
“Thank you for putting together such a list,” says Michele DeGrange, office manager at Sterling Equities and member of the Personal Assistant and Office Manager LinkedIn group. “I have learned of some new sites from the above posts and will be checking them out. I have found very useful information from www.BusinessManagementDaily.com. I hope others find it as useful. I look forward to seeing your finished list.”
