Want to set up your own desktop theme in Windows 7? If you’ve changed your desktop theme in Windows 7 to one of the available Aero Themes, you might notice that the picture used for your desktop background changes every so often. What you might not know is that you can control how often those change and even what pictures are included.
Let’s say you want to replace the current theme with your own vacation pictures. The easiest way to do this is to save all those pictures to a single folder, preferably in a Pictures Library. Now, right click on your desktop and choose Personalize.
At the bottom of the dialog box, choose Desktop Background.
Browse to the folder with your photos and click OK. Uncheck the boxes for any photos that you do not want to include.
Then, at the bottom, of the dialog box, decide how often you want the picture to change and if you want them to appear in a random order each time, with the Shuffle checkbox. Want to really put your touch on your desktop appearance? Also check out Window color and Sounds options. By the way, you can also change your screensaver on this dialog box.
