Georgia-based Coca-Cola, UPS, and Aflac insurance made Black Enterprise magazine’s list of the 40 companies that do the best job of fostering corporate diversity.

To prepare its third annual business-diversity report, the magazine surveyed chief executives and diversity officers at the 1,000 top-grossing, publicly traded companies and 50 leading global firms with major U.S. operations. The survey looked at diversity on corporate boards, among senior management and in work forces. It also factored in steps corporations take to buy from suppliers who support diversity efforts.

The magazine also judged companies on how well they marketed to people of color and reached out to minority communities. No Georgia company made that list.
