Word Macros

in Office Technology,Word Tips

Q. Can I set up a macro to run automatically in a Word template?

A. Yes! First save your document or template as a Macro Enabled Word Template. After recording the steps you wish your macro to perform, click on the View tab, Macros group, the Macros button. Select View Macros, choose yours and Edit. Copy the actual steps (between the last line that begins with a ‘ mark and End Sub). Double-click on Microsoft Word Objects, then “ThisDocument.” You’ll see two boxes at the top of the main area in the editor. One says, (General), the other, (Declarations). Drop down the one on the left and select Document. Paste your code between the Private Sub Document New() and the End Sub there.

Don't be scared of macros!
