More than a third (35%) of small business owners plan to raise prices this year, while only 7% plan to cut them, according to a PNC Financial Services survey of small and midsize firms.
Most cited a “profit squeeze from higher costs” as the main reason. In 2009, only 19% of small business said they planned to raise prices and an equal 19% expected to reduce them.
