Although party founder and author Matthias Poehm admits it’s a gimmick to sell his book, The Powerpoint Fallacy, the public-speaking trainer from Bonstetten is out to raise awareness.
“One can convey even the driest topics in a way that people hang on to your every word,” says Poehm, who believes PowerPoint is the wrong tool for making an effective presentation.
His advice? Go back to using a flip chart. By drawing and writing on a flip chart as you’re speaking to an audience, says Poehm, you’ll give a better presentation 98 out of 100 times.
