Question: We’re a small nonprofit organization and we’re eligible to take the health care tax credit. How do we do this?

Answer: To figure the amount of the credit, all employers, including tax-exempt organizations, must complete Form 8941. Then, include the result on Line 44f of your Form 990-T. If you’re filing Form 990-T only to claim this tax credit, write “Request for 45R Credit Only” across the top of the form.
