According to a study sponsored by several Minnesota-based women’s business groups and executive search firm Spencer Stuart, Minnesota is second only to New York and Illinois in female board membership among its publicly traded companies.

The study findings noted that 13 of the 100 largest publicly traded companies based in Minnesota have corporate boards and executive officer corps with at least 20% female membership. Two companies, Target and MTS Systems, have boards on which more than 30% of members are women.
