Whittle down errors with a checklist

Since employees began using checklists in Michigan hospitals, the infection rate has gone down by two-thirds. And at Barclays Wealth, checklists have been deployed in several areas, including payments and credit operations. Results:

Speedier transactions. A checklist can speed up everyday, repeatable tasks. Example: Opening a new account at Barclays used to take five days; now it takes 24 hours.

Fewer mistakes. The checklists help cut down on errors and eliminate duplications. Yet conceptually they’re so simple and not difficult to implement.
