in Workplace Communication

Here’s an easy way to test whether you’re on the fast track. Think about your job responsibilities and ask yourself, “Can I link the work I do to someone outside of this organization? Do customers of my firm’s products and services benefit directly because of what I do?” Unless you can declare YES, you’re not delivering top value to your employer. What’s worse, your job may get eliminated in the next round of layoffs. Solution: Identify your No. 1 customers and put yourself in a position to bring them immediate and substantial benefits.
