Remain standing and read a magazine. If you must sit, don’t cross your legs or slouch in your chair. Keep your back erect. When you stand to greet the interviewer, get up quickly and plant yourself directly in front of the other person to shake hands. Make sure that you establish friendly eye contact and align yourself squarely with the interviewer.
