If you’re not getting ahead as quickly as you’d like, identify the bad habits or attitudes that inhibit your career growth.

How? Write down each destructive behavior or attitude on an index card. Then ceremoniously feed the index cards into a paper shredder. This rite may give you the momentum to recharge your career.

Alternate method: Write about each limitation in a separate file on your PC. Wait a day. Then reread each file, devise steps to conquer each form of self-sabotage and hit the delete key. If the computer prompts you by asking, “Are you sure you want to delete?”, click “Yes.”
