Streamline your writing. When drafting memos or reports, use one bulls-eye verb rather than a string of words that dance around the verb. Examples: Replace hold a dialogue with discuss and put in an appearance with appear. Also look for phrases to cut. “We must find a way to hold employees accountable” works better without the “find a way to.”
