Fun fact: April Fool’s Day

April Fool’s Day can be traced back to the 1500s when Pope Gregory XIII introduced the new Gregorian Calendar and New Year’s Day was moved from April 1 to Jan. 1.

The people who hadn’t heard of the change or who refused to believe it were subjected to ridicule and were often sent on “fools’ errands” or made the butt of other practical jokes.
