All the leaders at your organization need to make good decisions. But they also need to adopt a “performance anatomy” that puts those decisions into action.

That means being adept at five critical tasks:
  1. Reaching the new markets you identify in a disciplined and effective way.

  2. Developing people and fitting them into the right jobs.

  3. Evaluating and measuring a broad range of benchmarks that include decision-making, brand recognition, corporate reputation and employee involvement.

  4. Tapping IT to acquire competitive intelligence about the marketplace and for other business purposes.

  5. Renewing continuously rather than staying content with the status quo.
