’Tis the season for crooks to pose as IRS agents. If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to represent the IRS and asking for your personal or business financial data (Social Security numbers, credit card data, etc.), don’t give it out! Ask the caller to put the request in writing. Con artists often try to pull off such scams around tax-return season. Alert employees to be on guard as well.
