Most popular items: envelopes, followed by notepads, paper, paper clips, highlighters, markers, rubber bands, stamps, blank CDs and batteries. Three percent admitted stealing office chairs, software, modems or monitors. Advice: Lock supply closets and distribute supplies as needed. Or, keep supplies in your office. Store supplies where someone can watch them. Write a policy against office thefts.
