A crack trio of loss-prevention officers hired by Nordstrom in King of Prussia has been arrested for allegedly operating a theft ring.
Rozita Davani, former loss-prevention manager, along with Marguerite Willis and Athina Theodoridis, former loss-prevention agents, allegedly began stealing from the store’s mailroom in May. The three allegedly lifted more than $26,000 in women’s clothing, handbags, jewelry and accessories that were awaiting shipment. They then exchanged the items for cash, gift cards and other merchandise at the King of Prussia Nordstrom and stores in Maryland and New Jersey.
Nordstrom initially asked Davani, who had worked for the store for roughly eight years, to investigate the mailroom thefts.
By summer, the action allegedly shifted to the store’s sales floor, with the group now accused of shoplifting directly from the display racks and shelves. Their total haul is estimated at more than $60,000.
Police also arrested Shavon Keith, a “secret shopper,” and are investigating another former employee. Two more suspects who were not Nordstrom employees have also been arrested.
