Warn your staff not to send frivolous e-mail. If your workers feel free to send e-mail with large attachments, such as a holiday greeting card or a new screen saver, the cybertraffic can bring your system to a standstill. Personal e-mail also heightens your company’s exposure to legal liability. Educate employees about the need to conserve computer space and keep superfluous e-mail off your system. At a minimum: Remind employees that e-mail is never private and they should use company e-mail only for company business.
