You want to motivate your employees to adopt an ambitious action plan, but you’re greeted with apathy or resistance. Don’t give up. Schedule an informal discussion in which you ask the group three questions: What are you working on? What else could you be working on? Now what? You can show them why your plan merits their attention so that they feel excited—not scolded—into embracing your proposal.
