Get your team off to a running start

On the first day that you assemble a new team, plan every detail of the meeting. Arrange the seats in a circle. Ask team members to introduce themselves by isolating a skill they bring to the group. To avoid a pecking order, tell them not to mention their present or past job titles. Discuss why you formed the team, but don’t encumber them with a rigid or unrealistic agenda.
