Three productivity tools from Google worth trying:
1. GOOG: Call 1-800-GOOG-411 from any phone, tell GOOG where you live and what business (or business type) you’re looking for, and it connects you free. Calling from an Internet-enabled cell phone? Say, “Map it,” and you’ll get a map of the area around the business.
2. Google Transit (www.google.com/transit): It interfaces with Google Maps to offer public transportation options and schedules for nearly 50 cities.
3. Google Docs (www.docs.google.com): Upload Word documents, spreadsheets, presentations or HTMLs. This web-based software lets you edit online and invite others to edit and view your documents, too. The benefit? The whole group can make revisions simultaneously, and you won’t need to combine their edits; it happens automatically. When you’re done, download the document or publish it on the web.
