The IRS recently announced big increases in certain user fees for 2006.
The increases, which formally take place in two stages, are fully
effective on July 1, 2006. Example: Under the revised Employee Plan (EP) system, fees for opinion and advisory letters and determination letters for plans will cost between $200 and $15,000 (up from $125 to $6,500). (IRS revenue procedures 2006- 1- 8)
