Taxpayers are receiving better and faster service at IRS offices around the country, according to a study by the Treasury Department's inspector general. Of the 138 tax questions asked by Treasury auditors, 98 were answered correctly or partially correctly, 24 were answered incorrectly, and the rest were referred to the IRS toll-free service. (That's actually an improvement!) The waiting time was less than 15 minutes 71 percent of the time...
