Weight watchers at Sheboygan, Wis.-based Acuity can lose weight free if they meet their program goals.
Employees who sign up for the Weight Watchers program pay $100 for 17 weekly meetings, and the insurance company reimburses them if they meet their program-established weight-loss goals. Those who lose half of the desired weight get half their deposit back. The organization donates the other half to the United Way charitable campaign.
Every Wednesday at noon, a Weight Watchers rep conducts a 30-minute meeting and weigh-in at Acuity headquarters. About 200 of the organization’s 650 employees go through the program every year, and the success rate is high, says John Signer, VP of HR.
In addition to Weight Watchers meetings, the organization’s headquarters boasts a massage room and a 10,000-square-foot gym.
