In a sign of how heated local politics can become, Frank Weeden, unsuccessful candidate for the Trenton mayor’s office, has filed a complaint with the city concerning the residency status of the police director and the director of communications. Weeden alleges that a city ordinance requiring city employees to live within the city limits is being ignored.

Weeden claims he is speaking up for other city employees who do live within the city limits and feel Mayor Douglas Palmer is playing favorites by not strictly enforcing the ordinance.
